SCANIA
DAYS OF THE KING

THE PROJECT

The Scania V8 engine turned 50 years old and to mark the occasion Italscania entrusted Mosaico Studio with the creative design and set up of the ‘Days of the King’ event.
The event took place in Trento from 4 to 5 May and was attended by thousands of people from all over Italy.
Mosaico Studio reinterpreted and set up an industrial context of about 30,000 square metres within which many activities took place that delighted both professionals and families.
Over 100 people worked during the three days to ensure the success of the initiative: from the staging of 16 hours of shows to the setting up of a driving school park for children, a museum dedicated to the myth of the V8 inside a workshop and a food truck area. The exhibition of decorated and historic vehicles that paraded through the streets of Trento, a conference, a competition to crown the best driver in Italy and three concerts completed the event.
For the gala dinner, an entire workshop was transformed into a green area with natural lawns and hanging gardens on the engines. An architectural solution that conveys Scania’s values: technological progress and environmental sustainability.
