THE CELEBRATIONS FOR THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE AIR FORCE CONTINUE WITH AN AIR SHOW AT PRATICA DI MARE
The celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the Italian Air Force, which began at the end of March 2023 in Rome’s central Piazza del Popolo with the creation of the Air Force Experience, continued with a spectacular air show on 17th and 18th June at the ‘Mario de Bernardi’ military airport at Pratica di Mare, with a new project by Mosaico Studio.
AN EXHIBITION ON AN AREA OF OVER 400,000 M2
For this second event created for the Armed Forces, Mosaico Studio multiplied the experience of Piazza del Popolo a hundredfold, designing and setting up an area of over 400,000 square metres conceived to welcome institutions and visitors from all over the world.
The event, whose guests included the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, was attended by a total of over 300,000 people and was broadcast on the Air Force’s social channels and live on RAI 1.

THE EXCLUSIVE HOSPITALITY AREA
In the last stage of the experiential journey, visitors were immersed in the ‘future’ of aeronautics: a dome with a 360° projection narrated the challenges and projects of the Air Force through an emotional film. The new defence scenarios, aerospace, technological development that shortens distances, cybersecurity, environmental sustainability and the evolution of meteorology were told in a film made with spherical 3D rendering for an immersive effect that put the spectators in the centre of the scene.
