EXPO 2015 Communication Project

For the entire Expo period, the first image of Italy that those landing in Milan was that of Kimbo coffee. The Neapolitan espresso welcomed all travellers arriving at Milan’s airports with a presence of strong visual impact and a multifunctional space.
The brand domination project in the Milan airports of Milano Linate and Milano Malpensa was designed and curated by Mosaico Studio in collaboration with Cipa and aimed to give the brand maximum visibility and to link it in the visitor’s imagination to a positive value of Italian hospitality and authenticity.
The international communication concept was revisited to enhance the dominant colour of the brand without sacrificing the coherence of the message. The barriers and columns of the Italian Espresso have thus been transformed into a frame and a visual filter that embraces the passengers and the people waiting for them.

For Kimbo, a true multi-functional lounge was created along the exit path where comfortably seated passengers can recharge their mobile devices, connect easily to the web and enjoy information and multimedia content. The completely customised layout has been designed with simple, clean lines and made with materials that interpret the brand’s philosophy. In fact, the furnishings echo the geometries of the Kimbo brand, and the choice of resin to cover the surfaces lends a character of strength, luminosity and elegance to the entire space.
